What's the deal with the dogs?

  • Our inspiration

    We were volunteering with the Boston Terrier Rescue of NC fostering dogs, transporting, and helping however we could. Having a houseful of stinky butts was a driving force in developing our dog soaps and our other product lines.

  • Our Company Name

    Emme was the original "Stinky Ass". She was the inspiration for the name of our company, and while she might be gone, our passion for helping Boston Terriers remains.

    We make handcrafted soaps with natural ingredients to elevate your bathing experience. With your purchase, you are contributing to a good cause, as we donate a portion of our sales to the Boston Terrier Rescue of North Carolina. Several years ago, we began taking better care of ourselves and our pets. Reading labels became important and paying attention to what we put in our bodies mattered. We started noticing our body care products were not what we thought they were. They looked like soaps, but were something else entirely.

As we read and researched, we discovered that "real" soap is made with oils, fats, butters, and lye that saponifies the oils into soap. Things called "beauty bars" or cleaning bars were not soaps, they were detergents, same as body washes.
